Below you’ll find a list of all our studio holidays and events for both the Anderson and Greenville Sounds of Carolina locations. Studio events include our CORE Student Events, Student Masterclasses, Faculty Recitals, Teacher Training Workshops and Teacher Meetings.
Teacher Training Workshop with Timothy Blaha
Teacher training workshop with Timothy Blaha, expert in the Bornoff Approach, a modern way to teach string playing. Available to SOC teachers and other music educators in the community.
All SOC Teachers are automatically enrolled and admitted free of charge. Local Community Educators (non-SOC) may enroll for a small fee. Please contact us with any questions.

Anderson Winter Recitals
Our Winter Recital is a formal, traditional-style student recital. The event is free and open to family and friends of our students. The purpose of this event is to give each student a concrete goal to work toward, but to have fun while doing so. Teachers will facilitate song selection and sign-up. An accompanist will be assigned as needed. Performer dress is formal and performers are expected to arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance begins. Audience dress is dressy casual and the audience is expected to stay for the entire performance. Families with multiple students will be grouped together.
Students can view their specific assigned slot by logging into the student portal.

Greenville Winter Recitals

Spring Spectacular
Our Spring Spectacular is an event in which all our students play together in large ensembles. Each student’s part will be differentiated depending on their individual playing level. Students will be given sheet music early in the school year and will work on it until the performance in May.
This event is free and open to family and friends of our students. The purpose of this event is to showcase the efforts of our students and give them a chance to play in a group. Performer dress is casual and performers will be given SOC T-shirts to wear at the event. Students are expected to arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance begins. Audience dress is casual and the audience is expected to stay for the entire performance.

Greenville Fall Fest Open Mic
Fall Fest Open Mic is a relaxed, open-mic style event. There will be music and fun for the whole family. This event is free and open to family and friends of our students. The idea behind this event is to get students in front of people without the pressure that comes with a traditional recital. Students should expect to start picking out their Fall Fest performance selection soon after the school year starts. Teachers will facilitate event sign-up and song selection. Performer dress is casual and performers can arrive around the assigned hour. Audience dress is casual and the audience can come and go as they please. Families with multiple students will be grouped together. Students can view their specific assigned slot by logging into the student portal.

Anderson Fall Fest
Anderson Fall Fest is an open-mic style student concert held at the Anderson Arts Center. There will be music, games, food, and fun for the whole family. Free and open to the public.
Greenville Fall Fest
Our Greenville Fall Fest is an open-mic style concert held at the Village Grind. Students will be assigned a time slot so they can show off what they’ve been learning so far this school year! Village Grind will have coffee, tea, and pastries available for purchase. Informal. Free and open to the public.
