Calling all vocalists ages 12-18! Join us for a Vocal Summer Intensive led by experienced voice teacher Olivia Darling and accompanied by pianist Jordan Evans. Whether you're passionate about contemporary music, classical arias, or opera, this intensive will elevate your vocal skills and take your performance to the next level!
What You'll Experience:
Vocal Technique & Warm-Ups: Learn proper vocal techniques and engage in daily warm-ups to strengthen your voice.
Contemporary & Classical Music: Dive into both modern songs and timeless classical pieces to expand your repertoire.
Opera Music: Explore the beauty of opera and develop the skills needed to perform in this sophisticated genre.
Collaborative Work: Work alongside fellow students in ensemble singing and collaborative performances, learning teamwork and harmony.
Performance Opportunity: On Friday from 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM, showcase your skills in a final performance for family and friends.

Unlock your inner composer this summer! Join us for a Composition Intensive where students will dive deep into the world of music creation. Whether you’re passionate about writing melodies, understanding song structure, or learning to orchestrate your work, this intensive is perfect for budding composers who only need experience playing an instrument ages 12-18. Led by Jordan Evans, a local music teacher, arranger, and composer, this intensive will give you the tools you need to craft your own music and see it come to life!
What You’ll Learn:
Music Theory: Get a solid understanding of the building blocks of music and how to apply them to your compositions.
Improvisation: Learn how to generate musical ideas on the spot and incorporate improvisation into your writing process.
Melody Writing: Develop your ability to create memorable and expressive melodies.
Song Structure & Form: Understand how to craft cohesive, well-organized pieces that flow naturally.
Orchestration for String Quartet: Write an original composition and learn how to orchestrate it specifically for a string quartet.
Performance Opportunity:
On Friday, July 18th, from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM, your original piece will be performed live by a professional string quartet! This is a unique opportunity to hear your work come to life in a professional setting.
